OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN
Workwear made to last by BP®
OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN at BP®: Certified workwear for healthcare and HACCP
Some items from our new healthcare and HACCP (Industrial Food) collections can be labelled with OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN. These include lightweight TENCEL™ Lyocell trousers and slip-on tunics, as well as a HACCP trouser, jacket and coat.
To obtain the OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN product label, the following requirements must be met:
- The item must be certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 to ensure that the textile has been tested for harmful substances.
- The garment manufacturing facility where the item was sewn must be certified according to OEKO-TEX® STeP. To obtain this certification, factories must meet specific social and environmental requirements.
- Components that make up at least five percent of the total weight must also have been produced in an OEKO-TEX® STeP certified facility. This applies in particular to wet or chemical processes.
- In addition to social and environmental requirements in the supply chain, OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN also stands for supply chain transparency. Using the individually assigned label number for each item, information on the supply chain can be accessed via the Label Check on the OEKO-TEX® website.
