BP® CUSTOMER FOCUS. It’s all about our customers and the people who wear our clothes.

WE RELY ON STRONG PARTNERS AND OUR MOST SUSTAINABLE PROMISE: THE BP® QUALITY.

151 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP. With family businesses like us.

We focus on ecological and social sustainability

BP is a Fair Wear Leader

The Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is a multi-stakeholder initiative with the aim of improving the working conditions of people in the textile industry. The eight principles of the Fair Wear Foundation include free choice of employment, freedom of association, no discrimination in the workplace, no exploitation of child labour, payment of a living wage, reasonable working hours, safe and healthy working conditions and a legally binding employment contract.

BP® and its garment manufacturing partners undertake to comply with the FWF principles or to work on corresponding improvements. The implementation and monitoring of the FWF principles at the manufacturing partners is carried out by means of regular visits, training measures, audits and subsequent corrective action plans.

What is BP® doing to reduce CO₂ emissions?

BP® has been working with Climate Partner since 2022 on the company's own targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Climate Partner supports us in calculating and reducing our CO2 emissions. Together, we will offset unavoidable emissions through certified climate protection projects.

In addition, we regularly exchange information with our suppliers and clothing partners. For example, some of our clothing partners have now installed a photovoltaic system on the roof of the production building and therefore hardly need to buy any additional electricity and are more independent. BP® has also been using green electricity since 2022 and has been able to reduce CO² emissions at its headquarters in Cologne through various approaches.

What is BP® doing in terms of the circular economy?

We have already launched three different pilot projects:

  • Clothes to clothes: Integrating used clothing into the production of new raw fabrics.
  • Allowing used clothing to flow into the cycles of other products.
  • Recycling cutting waste: In 2023, we were able to present the first results. A Circular Economy polo shirt currently consists of 10% recycled production waste and the buttons are made from recycled cotton - with the same BP® quality.

Workwear from Cologne since 1788

A seventh generation family company

For over 230 years, since it was founded in 1788, a cornerstone of the company has been to continue to develop and offer new solutions to service new customers. However, each new product was bound to a single requirement: it had to be of extraordinary quality.

We develop, innovate and improve in the service of our wearers and customers.
