BP® sponsors the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup

BP® is now sponsoring the world's first electric rally brand cup. The mechanics of the racing teams will in future be equipped with the BP® Multi Protect Plus multinorm protective clothing. This way, they are well protected while working on the battery-powered vehicles and still dressed lightly and comfortably.

15 teams, eight races in four countries and one goal: to master even the most difficult rally courses with electric drive and to finish at the top of the podium. The ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup is the world's first electric rally one-make cup. Cheered on by thousands of motorsport fans and followed by great media interest, the teams regularly demonstrate that electric mobility is also the future of motorsport. BP® is now sponsoring the racing series. As part of the sponsorship, BP is equipping the crews with its BP® Multi Protect Plus multinorm protective clothing, among other things.

Protective clothing for mechanics

When working on vehicles with high-voltage batteries, the mechanics wear special protective clothing that, among other things, protects against the dangers of an arc fault - which can save lives in extreme cases. In the case of electric cars that have been involved in an accident, you never know whether the battery has been damaged, which means a fire hazard; the clothing also protects against this.
