Trainees
Via the EU-sponsored “Leonardo Da Vinci Programme”, all second-year BP business administration trainees complete a four-week internship at a BP supplier or customer outside of Germany – mainly in Spain, Italy, France, Turkey, the Netherlands and Slovenia. BP is one of the first companies to have take advantage of this programme, starting in 2006.
Employee assistance programmes (EAP)
Together with CarpeDiem24, and as part of the occupational health management system, BP offers employee assistance programmes. Consultants support employees and their families with all kinds of minor and major issues, both in their professional and in their personal lives.
Temporary job change
For employees looking for a change in perspective or the opportunity to use underutilised skills, BP offers temporary job changes – e.g. from customer service to marketing – which many employees value and take advantage of.
Health management
BP contributes to the costs of gyms and other activities that promote health.
English and MS Office courses
BP will pay for employees to attend evening classes in order to learn English and MS Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint).
Degree course
BP provides financial support for part-time Bachelor’s or Master’s courses, and also offers up to five paid days leave for examinations.
Sabbaticals
For those employees desiring the opportunity to take several months off, e.g. to concentrate on their family or to do some longer-term travelling, BP offers the opportunity to take a sabbatical.
BP Training Academy
Employees train employees, e.g. regular training about fabrics, quality management, the fair wear ethos, customs, etc.
Bicycle leasing
For the environment and the health of employees, BP® offers the option of leasing up to 2 company bikes per employee for free use. BP® grants an additional 15% employer subsidy on the total leasing rate.

Location
The BP offices are located within walking distance of Cologne Central Station and Cologne Cathedral, making BP quickly and easily accessible from both the city and the surrounding region. We also offer to subsidise commuting ticket costs. You can take your breaks in the direct vicinity of the company building in the various bistros, restaurants and cafés – or you can meet with colleagues in the break room.
